Feminist Art

Feminist Art emerged as a major artistic and political force during the late 1960s and 1970s, challenging the exclusion of women from museums, galleries and dominant histories of art. Through painting, photography, performance, installation, video and activism, feminist artists questioned traditional representations of the body, domesticity, sexuality, identity and power.
