Natasha Tontey is an Indonesian artist and researcher whose practice moves across film, video, installation, performance and speculative storytelling. Drawing on Minahasan cosmologies, Indigenous knowledge and ritual, her work questions dominant narratives around history, power, technology and the body. Tontey often focuses on marginalised human and more-than-human perspectives, exploring feminism, resistance, bodily autonomy and the relationship between culture and land. Her work has gained increasing international attention, including presentations connected to the Venice Biennale and other major contemporary art platforms.
